Image - Just Love Radio Show!

In mid-May, Executive Director Malachy Fallon and longtime braille patron Bob White stopped by the Just Love Radio Show at Sirius XM studios in midtown Manhattan. Hosted by Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of New York, Just Love is a popular program on The Catholic Channel, XM 129. Malachy and Bob chatted with Monsignor Sullivan about Xavier Society for the Blind, our mission and the materials we provide to patrons worldwide.
Please click here to listen to the broadcast (it starts around the 3 minute mark)! If you are in the Archdiocese of New York, you may recognize Bob - since 1987 he has presented the Mass on Sundays on WFUV Fordham Radio. Like many patrons who lector, Bob uses our Propers of the Sunday Mass in braille as well as the Holy Week Triduum. Here’s a little more about him:

A longtime patron of Xavier Society for the Blind, Bob is a retired teacher who has spent most of his life living in the Bronx. After earning a BA in history and Psychology from the University of Rochester, he received a Master of Arts in teaching from Fordham University and taught Social Studies at South Bronx High School for nearly 20 years. After being certified by Hunter College in 1995, Bob taught the visually impaired as part of Educational Vision Services, a citywide Special Education program, until 2011.

Thank you to Monsignor Sullivan, Tom Dobbins, and all at JustLove Radio for inviting Malachy and Bob on the show and helping to spread awareness of Xavier Society for the Blind’s mission!
