Volunteer ::

The Xavier Society has an active group of almost 100 volunteers, who record books and magazines, help with transcription, do needed clerical work, man the reception desk and phones, work with Braille and large-print production and support our work in many different ways. All of these services are donated at our offices in Manhattan, during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 4:30 PM).

We also can use the help of people who cannot get out or who live outside the New York area. If you can proofread online or have computer or artistic skills that can be shared over the Internet, please contact us and introduce yourself.

Since we are actively engaged in creating special events and fund-raising projects, we are always in need of creative people who can help put together a party, a golf outing or a benefit.

If you are interested in joining the fellowship of volunteers who assist the staff in providing this vital ministry, please call, write or e-mail. Fill out the form on this page, or call and ask to speak to Kathleen, who will help find the best fit for your talents and experience.
